Weekly Bar Events in Toledo Locals Can Count On

Finding dependable weekly bar events in Toledo should not require waiting for a holiday weekend or a once-a-year festival. Sometimes you just want a familiar place where you can meet friends, order food, enjoy a drink, and have something fun to do.

That is the idea behind the weekly schedule at Casey’s Toledo. From Music Bingo and Name That Tune to pool tournaments and karaoke, our events give people a reason to get out of the house without making the night feel complicated or overly planned.

Casey’s is located in West Toledo near Secor and Laskey. We are proud of our LGBTQ+ roots, our history going back to the R House years, and our reputation as a neighborhood gathering place where everyone is welcome.

Weekly bar events in Toledo at Casey’s

A good weekly event does more than fill an empty space on the calendar. It creates a dependable routine. You know what night it happens, what kind of crowd to expect, and how easy it will be to join the fun.

That consistency is important. People have busy schedules, and many do not want to search for a new place every time they decide to go out. They want a bar where they can meet after work, get something from the kitchen, play a game, or simply watch the activity from their table.

Casey’s offers several recurring events throughout the week:

  • Sunday afternoon pool tournaments
  • Tuesday Music Bingo from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • Friday Name That Tune beginning at 8 p.m.
  • Karaoke with Corey Brown on the fourth Saturday of each month at 10 p.m.
  • Seasonal patio parties, cookouts and community gatherings
  • Keno events, food specials and themed celebrations

Schedules can occasionally change for holidays, weather or special events. Visit our Weekly Events page for the latest information before heading out.

Tuesday Music Bingo in West Toledo

Music Bingo takes over Casey’s every Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. It has the easy format of regular bingo, but songs replace the numbered balls.

Players receive cards filled with song titles. As short clips play, you listen for songs that appear on your card and mark the matching spaces. You do not need to sing, perform or know every artist. You only need to listen and play along.

Music Bingo is free to play, easy to understand and relaxed enough for first-time guests. It works well for couples, groups of friends, coworkers and people stopping in on their own.

The music gives the room energy without making conversation impossible. Some people take the game seriously. Others enjoy recognizing songs, laughing with their table and staying for another drink.

During patio season, Music Bingo may be held outside when the weather cooperates. Come early to find a seat, order dinner and get settled before the first song begins.

Friday Name That Tune at Casey’s

Name That Tune begins every Friday at 8 p.m. and remains one of Casey’s longest-running events.

Players test how quickly they can identify songs, artists and musical themes. Some people recognize a song within the first few notes. Others rely on their teammates to fill in the gaps. Either way, the guessing, debating and occasional confidently wrong answer are part of the fun.

Name That Tune is a good choice when you want more energy than a quiet dinner but do not want the pressure of a formal competition. You can build a team, play casually or simply enjoy the music from the bar.

Each week features a different combination of decades, genres and themes. That variety keeps the night familiar without making every Friday feel exactly the same.

Come early for drinks and food from the Casey’s menu. Staying after the game is easy because Casey’s remains open late on Friday nights.

Sunday pool tournaments in Toledo

Casey’s weekly pool tournament takes place Sunday afternoon, with tournament activity normally beginning around 4 p.m.

The tournament gives regular players a dependable weekly competition while keeping the atmosphere comfortable for newer players and spectators. You do not have to be the best player in Toledo to participate, and you do not have to enter the tournament to enjoy the afternoon.

Some guests come specifically to compete. Others stop in to watch the matches, talk with friends, enjoy something from the kitchen or spend a relaxed Sunday at the bar.

A pool tournament adds activity to the room without taking it over completely. You can follow the matches closely or treat them as part of the background while enjoying your own afternoon.

Arrive early if you plan to play so you have time to sign up and warm up before the matches begin.

Fourth Saturday karaoke with Corey Brown

On the fourth Saturday of each month, Corey Brown hosts karaoke at Casey’s beginning at 10 p.m.

Regular singers can take the microphone and perform their favorite songs. First-timers can choose something familiar, sing with a friend or simply come to watch and support the performers.

Karaoke nights at Casey’s are meant to be fun rather than intimidating. The crowd appreciates strong singers, enthusiastic singers and everyone willing to get up and give it a try.

Because karaoke begins later in the evening, you can come early for dinner and drinks before the performances start. Check the Weekly Events page or Casey’s social media before visiting to confirm the date of the next fourth-Saturday karaoke night.

Food, drinks and happy hour before the events

The best weekly bar events in Toledo work better when the bar also gives you a reason to arrive early and stay afterward.

Casey’s serves house-made burgers, specialty pizzas, sandwiches, appetizers, fish tacos and rotating food specials. You can stop in for a full meal, order something to share with the table or grab a snack before an event begins.

Our Toledo happy hour also gives guests an easy way to begin the evening. Meet friends after work, enjoy food and drinks, and stay when Music Bingo, Name That Tune or another scheduled activity begins.

Kitchen hours can vary by day, so checking the current schedule is a smart idea when food is part of your plans.

Weekly Toledo events on the patio

During warmer weather, many Casey’s events move to our spacious West Toledo patio.

The patio gives Music Bingo, cookouts and special gatherings a more casual summer atmosphere. Guests can sit outside, order food and drinks, play games and enjoy the weather without leaving the neighborhood.

Casey’s also hosts seasonal patio parties, customer potlucks, cookouts, holiday celebrations and other special gatherings throughout the year. These events are announced on the Weekly Events page, in Casey’s Corner and through Casey’s social media pages.

For additional activities happening throughout the area, you can also browse the Destination Toledo event calendar.

A welcoming place for weekly bar events in Toledo

The activity matters, but the atmosphere matters just as much.

A weekly event is difficult to enjoy when the room feels closed off or when first-time guests feel like outsiders. Casey’s works to create the opposite experience.

Our history began with R House in 1995 as a gathering place for Toledo’s LGBTQ+ community. The name changed to Casey’s in 2018, but the commitment to providing a welcoming place continued.

Today, Casey’s remains proud of those LGBTQ+ roots while welcoming respectful customers from every walk of life. Our crowd includes longtime regulars, neighbors, couples, coworkers, LGBTQ+ customers, allies and people visiting for the first time.

You do not need to know everyone in the room. You do not need to dress a certain way or arrive with a large group. Come as you are, find a seat and join the night at your own pace.

Choose the right Casey’s event for your night

Different events fit different kinds of outings.

Choose Tuesday Music Bingo when you want an easy group activity that still leaves room for conversation. Choose Friday Name That Tune when you want a livelier start to the weekend. Stop in Sunday afternoon when friendly pool competition sounds like a good way to finish the week.

Fourth-Saturday karaoke is the right choice when you want a later night with performances, music and an enthusiastic crowd. Happy hour, food specials and patio gatherings work well when you want something more relaxed.

You can also come to Casey’s when no major event is scheduled. A dependable neighborhood bar should still be a good place for dinner, drinks and conversation on an ordinary day.
